Rental Policies


A 25% down payment is required within 14 days to hold your reservation.  *This deposit is refundable up until 60 days prior to your event.  The remaining balance is due in full at or before delivery.  It is the customer’s responsibility to arrange for final payment to avoid any delays in delivery or setup.  We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard for your convenience.  All final counts must be made at least 1 week prior to delivery.  Any changes after that point will be subject to a restocking fee or additional rental charges.

*A larger deposit may be required for overbooked or special order items.


Damages & Responsibility

Customer agrees to pay full replacement costs, including labor and shipping costs for any and all damages incurred to all rental equipment whatsoever.  Customer agrees to pay damage waiver fee, which is 6% of the rental fees, unless initials are placed on the final contract.  The damage waiver is a non-refundable fee which relieves the renter of liability for loss due to fire, windstorm, upset or riot.  Excluded from the waiver is any loss or damage due to theft, burglary, misuse or abuse, theft by conversion, intentional damage, mysterious disappearances, or any loss due to customer failing to care for the rented items as if they were their own property.



As we all know, the weather does not always cooperate.  We will do our best to accommodate your needs by setting up earlier or later depending on conditions.  Modern Rentals reserves the right to deny setup in conditions that put employees or equipment at risk.  In the event that it does rain, snow, etc. on the day of your event, the customer will be responsible for all rental fees.


Delivery Service

Modern Rentals is happy to offer a delivery and pick-up service for your rental items for an additional charge.  Our delivery services do not include set-up of most items.  *If an additional trip is needed for items that are not on the contract at the time of delivery there will be an additional delivery charge.


Cleaning & Repacking

Customer agrees to have all rental items cleaned, repacked, and re-stacked in the same manner and containers as they were received in.  All tables and chairs need to be re-stacked before pickup in a similar location to where they were delivered.  Charges will be added for any and all equipment not returned or re-stacked in the proper condition.
